I have a scanned-image PDF that contains printed text, tables, and a few handwritten notes. I need the whole document turned into a fully editable .docx file. Faithfully capture every word and data point, but don’t worry about mirroring the exact look of the original—you can use clean, straightforward formatting as long as the hierarchy is clear and the information is easy to update.
Your OCR workflow should recognise text inside tables and pick up the handwritten annotations. Rebuild tables with real Word cells so I can sort or style them later, and place any transcribed handwriting either inline or as clearly marked comments. Before delivering, proof-read to minimise recognition errors.
Please tell me which OCR tools you prefer (Adobe, ABBYY, Tesseract, etc.) and how quickly you can turn around a file of this nature. The only deliverable I need is the finished, editable Word document.
