I need a full-featured Video Management System that I can compile and run on a Linux environment. The solution must follow a clean server-client architecture, include 100 % source code, and scale reliably to at least 1 000 simultaneous camera streams drawn from a wide mix of global CCTV brands (ONVIF or equivalent interoperability is a must).
Two core capabilities are non-negotiable: smooth multi-camera live view and fast, timeline-based playback of recorded footage. Everything—connection handling, recording, storage management, and UI—has to remain responsive even under heavy load. If you already support complementary functions such as motion-triggered recording or smart alerts, feel free to highlight them, but live view and playback come first.
The initial focus will be on developing an MVP for live testing at selected locations. The system should be modular, allowing it to function independently or with AI integration as an add-on. It must support both cloud-based and on-premises deployment.
I expect the package to build cleanly on mainstream Linux distributions, with any required third-party libraries clearly documented. Please include:
• Complete, well-commented source code for both server and client
• Build instructions or scripts
• A brief deployment guide showing how to add hundreds of mixed-brand cameras quickly
• A working demo (binary or video) that proves 1 000 camera concurrency
If you have an existing code-base that meets these goals, let me know the tech stack, supported codecs, and any licensing constraints.
NO ADVANCE SHALL BE PAID ONLY AGAINST MILESTONE
