I’m putting together a reusable Revit template for our chain of salons so any interior team, no matter where they are in the country, can open the file and start designing immediately.
The core of the job is a clean, well-structured Revit model that contains:
• 2D floor and wall plans at a basic-layout level – walls, doors, windows, service counters, shampoo stations and other major built-ins clearly dimensioned.
• Matching 3D view with the key furniture already arranged and an initial lighting scheme placed (track lights, pendants, task lights).
• A concise Bill of Quantities covering the primary architectural elements and the pre-placed furniture/lighting families, properly scheduled inside Revit.
Please keep the geometry lightweight and families parametric so our teams can stretch or swap components as each location demands. Logical view templates, sheets and naming conventions are essential; the goal is for someone to open the file and instantly understand where everything lives.
Acceptance criteria
– All drawings and schedules sit inside a single Revit file (.rvt, current version).
– Floor plan and at least one reflected ceiling plan are fully dimensioned.
– Furniture and lighting families are tagged and appear in automatically generated schedules.
– BoQ exports cleanly to Excel.
Hand over the .rvt plus any custom family files you create. Once the template passes a quick test-fit on one of our upcoming sites, the project is complete.
