Sales Performance Excel Tracker

I need an Excel workbook that lets me monitor overall sales health at a glance. The focus is on sales totals, targets, and month-by-month performance, with clear visual cues that show whether we are on track or falling behind. A simple dashboard with dynamic charts and conditional-format summaries is ideal; I should be able to drop new figures into a data sheet and have every metric update automatically.
Core functionality I expect:
• Data entry sheet for daily or weekly sales figures
• Calculations that roll up into monthly and YTD totals versus target
• Dashboard view featuring trend lines, progress-to-target gauges, and a quick-look table highlighting best and worst months
• Light protection or drop-down validation so the file stays clean when others add data
I’m happy to consider enhancements—perhaps adding customer contact or product-level breakouts later—but the first milestone is the high-level performance tracker described above.
Please include samples of past work that show you have built Excel trackers or dashboards before; screenshots or a stripped-down file work fine. If you use Power Query, PivotTables, or VBA for automation, mention that too so I know what to expect.
I’d like to kick this off right away and have an initial draft within a few days, then iterate once or twice until the layout feels intuitive and the numbers reconcile correctly.
