Looking for Philippines-based candidates
Job Role: Sales & Operations Manager
Compensation range: $2,000 AUD - $3,000 AUD / Monthly
Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.
Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote, so you'll be able to work from home.
Who The Client Is: Our client is a manufacturer and supplier of specialized industrial products designed to support infrastructure, construction, and engineering projects. Their product range focuses on high-performance, custom-engineered solutions that enhance safety, durability, and operational efficiency across a variety of commercial and industrial applications.
Role Overview: We are seeking a driven and commercially minded Sales & Operations Manager to manage inbound commercial opportunities and drive revenue growth for a company specializing in the manufacture and sale of non-slip coating solutions.
This is a client-facing role focused on qualifying leads, managing the sales process, and closing deals while maintaining a structured and organized pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
You are the end-to-end owner of Commercial Supply & Install (small deals, $2k – $20k AUD). Specifically:
Sales (60% of your time)

Qualify inbound commercial leads (taking the qualification baton from our Lead Nurturing team)

Conduct discovery calls with commercial buyers (facility managers, property managers, small business owners)

Build quotes in our CRM and present them on online or phone calls with confidence

Handle objections, close deals, on the call

Maintain a structured follow-up cadence on every qualified lead — no lead drops

Project Management (30% of your time)

Coordinate site assessments with our certified installer network across Australia

Book installation dates with installers and customers; manage scheduling conflicts

Ensure every project moves cleanly from "quote accepted" → "site assessment" → "installation booked" → "installation complete" → "invoice paid"

Be the single point of contact for the customer throughout the project lifecycle

Resolve issues between customer and installer when they arise; escalate to leadership only when needed

Installer Network Liaison (10% of your time)

Maintain relationships with our certified installer network (current installers across major AU cities)

Identify gaps in installer coverage and flag to leadership

Quality-check installer performance via customer feedback post-install

Onboarding support for new installers as the network grows

Requirements

Minimum 2 years closing experience in B2B or high-ticket B2C sales — you must demonstrate that you have CLOSED deals, not just qualified or set appointments

Proven track record in deals at $3k – $20k USD ticket sizes

Comfortable on online and phone calls with Australian business buyers — clear English, confident accent, professional presentation

Has owned a personal sales quota in a previous role (not team-shared)

Experience with project coordination or operations alongside sales (logistics, scheduling, multi-party coordination)

Technical Skills (Non-negotiable)

CRM mastery — Zoho CRM preferred; HubSpot or Salesforce experience accepted. We will assess your CRM competence in the interview.

AI-forward mindset — actively uses ChatGPT, Claude, or similar in daily work. Can articulate specific examples of how you've used AI to improve your sales or admin workflow.

Comfortable in adopting new technologies

Self-sufficient with troubleshooting tools — does not need IT handholding

Soft Skills

High accountability — you do what you say you'll do, when you said you'd do it

Strong written communication — can summarize a complex project status in 3 bullet points

Resourceful — when blocked, finds a way forward rather than waiting for direction

Comfortable challenging the status quo respectfully

Direct communicator — Australian-style frankness (no fluff, no flattery)

Nice-to-Haves

Experience in construction, trades, flooring, or building products industries

Has built or led a small sales team previously (this role will grow into team leadership)

Familiarity with quoting software, invoicing tools, or basic ERP systems

Screening Process

Stage 1: initial recruiter interview + recordings + video + written response review

Stage 2: 30-minute interview with the Founder

Stage 3: Second interview with the Co-Founder & Sales Director + offer

Stage 4: Paid trial task — handle a real (or simulated) qualified lead end-to-end over 5 working days, including site assessment coordination. Paid at hourly equivalent of advertised base salary.

Work Arrangement & Expectations:
This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:

Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work

Reflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile (clearly marked as “Independent Contractor”)
