The comedy treats an ordinary Waffle House rush like an extremely serious action movie. Ryan goes into ridiculous “Machine Mode” on the grill, corporate secretly watches him through a fictional high-tech surveillance command center, and two corporate employees eventually arrive to honor him — only for Ryan to stop them because one of them is violating footwear policy.
