Ruby on Rails API Development

This project revolves around a brand-new set of RESTful APIs built with Ruby on Rails and backed by PostgreSQL. I need clean, well-structured endpoints that hook smoothly into the database layer, follow secure-coding best practices, and come with clear, developer-friendly documentation.

Core scope
• Design and code the Rails controllers, models, and routes for the required endpoints
• Integrate PostgreSQL, including schema design and migration files
• Wire up a robust authentication flow (method open for discussion; I’m happy to take your recommendation)
• Produce concise, versioned API docs so front-end and third-party teams can consume the services without guesswork
• Remain available for routine maintenance and incremental feature additions once the first milestone ships
