I’m ready to move from rough sketches to a working prototype of a small rubber tool that will make opening stubborn jar lids effortless for everyday household use. The core idea is a palm-sized device that grips the lid firmly, distributes hand pressure evenly, and provides just enough flex to avoid damaging the cap or the user’s wrist.
Here’s what I need from you:
• Industrial-grade 3D design files (STEP or similar) that capture the tool’s ergonomics, grip texture, and optimal rubber durometer.
• Material and manufacturing guidance—recommend an elastomer blend that balances durability with a non-slip feel, and outline a realistic path to low-volume moulding or rapid silicone casting.
• One physical prototype shipped to me for hands-on testing, along with notes on any design tweaks you’d suggest after fabrication.
I’ll supply hand measurements, photos of typical jars, and feedback at every stage. Success is a prototype that comfortably opens standard jar lids (63–110 mm) without tearing or permanent deformation after twenty consecutive uses.
