I’m wrapping up my final architecture studio and I need a strong collaborator to push the building layout and overall look of my collective-housing proposal in Roxbury over the finish line.
Project context
• Program: roughly 90 % residential, with at least 20 % of the units affordable.
• Target density: 2.0 FAR and a minimum 30 % meaningful open space.
• Code: dimensional, egress, and life-safety rules are already assembled in a brief; they must be respected in every drawing you produce.
What I need most
My priority is the building’s form, circulation, and how it meets the ground. I want a warm contemporary character—wood accents, brick façades that nod to Roxbury’s history, and generous green pockets that soften the massing. Within that envelope we’ll weave:
– community rooms for resident events
– outdoor gardens and play areas
– work, study, and laundry spaces
Scope of collaboration
1. Refine the site strategy so the building aligns with surrounding streets, solar exposure, and neighborhood scale.
2. Develop stacked plans showing unit mix, cores, and clear circulation that passes the egress checklist.
3. Shape shared/public areas and open-space diagrams that hit the 30 % requirement.
4. Produce schematic sections, elevations, and a 3D massing model (SketchUp, Rhino, or Revit are all fine) to express materiality and façade rhythm.
5. Provide quick perspective views or diagrammatic renders that communicate the warm contemporary feel.
Acceptance criteria
• Floor-area summary table demonstrating compliance with FAR, open-space, and affordable-unit targets.
• Dimensioned plans and sections at appropriate studio scales.
• Coordinated 3D model delivered in the agreed native format plus IFC or DWG export.
• All files named and organized for easy inclusion in my final pin-up boards.
If you’re ready to jump in, let’s set milestones for concept refinement, interim review, and final presentation delivery.
