We are looking for an experienced Robotics Mechanical Design Engineer / Parametric CAD Designer with strong experience in humanoid robotics, mechanical assemblies, and DFM for engineering-grade 3D printing to develop the MAKKANI M3, a 1700 mm tall, 23-DOF bipedal humanoid robot designed to handle a 25 kg carton payload.

The project will begin with a full-scale 1:1 parametric master skeleton using the defined body dimensions, joint locations, and link lengths. The designer will be responsible for actuator placement, joint layout, rough body block-out, chest structure, battery and electronics packaging, internal cable routing, hard stops, and overall mechanical integration. AK10-9 actuators will be used for the waist flexion and knees, while RobStride 03 / AK80 series actuators will be used for the hips, shoulders, and ankles.

The robot will use a hybrid construction based on PAHT-CF/PET-CF 3D-printed structures, 30 mm carbon-fiber tubes, and flat 6061-T6 aluminum reinforcement plates. The design must also accommodate the Nvidia Jetson carrier, RealSense D435i, Livox Mid-360, BNO085 IMU, ReSpeaker, battery pack, and other internal hardware, while remaining compatible with the Bambu Lab H2D print volume and manufacturing requirements.

The final package must include clean and editable Fusion 360 or SolidWorks source files, STEP assemblies, STL and 3MF print files, DXF/DWG fabrication drawings, PDF drawings, an Excel BOM, and URDF/SDF simulation files. The first priority is to complete the master skeleton, 23-joint layout, actuator placement, body block-out, and basic internal packaging for review before moving into detailed structural and DFM work.

Serious and experienced applicants only. Strong experience in robotics, functional mechanical systems, actuator integration, and 3D-printed structural design is required. The project has an accelerated 1 week target schedule, so the designer must be available to work consistently and meet strict deadlines. When applying, please provide examples of relevant robotics, humanoid, mechanical CAD, or high-load 3D-printed assembly projects.
