I’m creating a fast-paced party game for Roblox called “Steal a Gift” and I need extra hands inside Roblox Studio to bring it to life.
The biggest gap on my side is Lua scripting, so your first mission will be to wire up the core game loop—gift spawning, stealing, timers, scoring, and all the server-client sync that keeps rounds fair and exploit-free. Beyond that, I’m happy to fold in anyone who can build maps, model props, or polish UI elements; the more complete the team, the faster we ship.
Key goals I’d like you to tackle:
• Robust Lua scripts for game mechanics, server logic, and dynamic in-game events.
• Clean, modular code so additional content drops are painless.
• Intuitive UI/UX that fits the festive, light-hearted vibe.
• Optimised assets and maps that keep performance solid on low-end devices.
I work iteratively and test each feature as soon as it’s pushed, so expect quick feedback and lots of play-testing sessions. If you have shipped or significantly contributed to a Roblox title before—especially something event-driven—let me know and include a link or game code.
Drop a brief note on which part of the stack you want to own and a sample of past Lua scripts or models. Let’s turn “Steal a Gift” into everyone’s new holiday favourite.
