I am looking to combine two specialised capabilities in a single, clean application. On the civil-engineering side, the tool needs to handle core river-modelling tasks such as hydraulic calculations and flow-profile visualisation. On the security side, it must calculate cryptographic hashes and reliably generate seeds that conform to the SHA-256 specification, ready for server-side use.
My main objective is to streamline daily work: run a quick river-flow analysis, then export or log a cryptographic seed in one seamless session instead of juggling separate programs. A responsive, well-structured GUI is important, but I am open to a command-line interface if it keeps the build lightweight and portable.
Please plan the code so the two feature blocks (hydraulic engine and hashing/seed module) sit in clearly separated layers; that way, future upgrades or audits on either side stay simple. Ideally the finished executable can run on at least one desktop OS out of the box, with clear instructions for compiling on the others.
Deliverables
• Source code with concise build steps
• Executable or installable package
• Brief technical note explaining algorithms, libraries, and seed-generation logic
• Sample data set and demonstration of a complete run, from river input to SHA-256 seed output
If you have experience writing scientific computation tools while following modern cryptographic best practices, I would love to see a short portfolio snippet or link along with your proposal.
