have a working RF receiver board with stable firmware, but the companion transmitter board is unusable because the only Gerber and BOM I was sent are corrupted. The transmitter’s firmware binary is intact, so the new hardware must accept that code without modification and still communicate flawlessly with the existing receiver over our RF data-transmission link.
What I can supply:
• The corrupted Gerber and BOM as rough references
• High-resolution photos of the original populated transmitter board
• The receiver board’s schematic and dimensions
• The compiled transmitter firmware (HEX)
Your task is to recreate the complete transmitter design from the ground up—clean schematic, PCB layout, production-ready Gerbers, pick-and-place files, and an updated BOM—so it drops straight into manufacture and works first time with the current firmware on both ends.
Acceptance criteria:
• DRC-clean Gerbers that open error-free in KiCad or Altium
• BOM with current part numbers and at least two viable suppliers for key components
• Proven impedance-matched RF path and antenna interface consistent with the receiver’s expectations
• Design walkthrough followed by successful firmware load and on-bench communication test between new TX prototype and existing RX board
If you’re comfortable reverse-engineering from limited documentation and have solid RF layout experience, I’d love to get this board back into production quickly.
