I have a finished schematic, full board layout, manufacturing drawings, complete BOM with manufacturer part numbers, and the pick-and-place file ready to go to an assembly house. Before I press the green button, I want an experienced set of eyes to confirm that the board can actually be built, populated, and tested without surprises at the factory.
Your task is to dig through every layer of the supplied Altium files (or import them into KiCad, OrCAD, etc. if you prefer) and flag anything that could slow down or prevent automated assembly by a turnkey PCB factory. Think stencil constraints, component footprints, solder-mask registration, paste-layer apertures, fiducial placement, panel-edge keep-outs, wave-solder versus reflow orientation, and the countless little issues that only turn up once reels are on the machine.
Deliverables
• A concise review report highlighting each concern, the reasoning behind it, and its practical impact on large-scale assembly.
• Clear recommendations or next-step checks for every issue you raise.
• Answers to a few focused questions I will provide (e.g., via comments in the schematic) to round out the analysis.
• If no problems are found in a given area, a brief note confirming it was inspected.
Acceptance criteria
• Every file I supply is opened and referenced in your report.
• Observations are backed up with IPC-standard wording or public datasheet links where relevant.
• Your document is structured so I can forward it directly to the assembly house or my in-house team without further editing.
This is strictly a design-for-manufacture review; functional circuit simulation is out of scope unless it directly affects buildability. If you spot something functional while inspecting the footprints, feel free to mention it, but the priority is a smooth, reliable factory assembly process.
