I need an Excel template that makes it quick and fool-proof to log our revenue. The sheet will only capture sales amounts, and every entry has to be automatically tagged by product or service so I can slice totals instantly.
Core requirements
• Simple, protected entry form for daily sales amounts
• Drop-down list (or similar) that forces the user to choose the correct product/service category on each line
• Behind-the-scenes table structure that keeps raw data clean for future pivot-table or Power Query use
• A summary tab that rolls up total revenue per product/service and refreshes with one click
I’m happy with native Excel functions—no external add-ins needed—as long as the workbook stays compatible with Microsoft 365.
