TALA has been on a rocket ship since its founding in 2019 by entrepreneur Grace Beverley. Built on largely organic social, today we are a digital-first, multichannel women’s activewear brand with a multifaceted growth and retention strategy.

Following a £5m fundraise from world-class institutional investors and growing global media attention, TALA is entering an exciting new phase of growth, including the opening of two stores in London.

Now, we’re taking TALA beyond London, and Bicester Village, you’re next.

*This will be for a FTC from November 26 to January 27*

Tasks

What you'll be doing

Goods In & Stock Flow

Own the end-to-end flow of stock from delivery to shop floor, taking full accountability for backroom performance.

Plan and manage delivery days around Bicester Village's service yard access and delivery windows, ensuring the team is resourced and ready ahead of every drop.

Receive, check and book in all deliveries accurately and on the day of arrival, escalating discrepancies, shortages and damages to Logistics within agreed timeframes.

Set and hold a clear delivery-to-floor turnaround standard

Processing, Pricing & Retail Ready

Own the "retail ready" standard end to end: steamed, sized, hung or folded, correctly hangered, security tagged, ticketed and floor-ready before it leaves the stockroom.

Manage the outlet pricing and ticketing process with total accuracy, ensuring every unit carries the correct price and any was/now ticketing is applied in line with brand and regulatory guidelines.

Execute promotional changes, markdowns and price changes to deadline, including overnight or pre-trade implementation where needed.

Build simple, repeatable processing routines and workstation set-ups that let the team move at volume without losing accuracy.

Track and improve processing productivity, using units-per-hour measures to plan labour and forecast the resource needed for peak drops.

Stock Accuracy & Inventory Integrity

Be the store's owner of stock file accuracy, treating the integrity of our data as a core deliverable rather than an admin task.

Run a disciplined cycle counting programme across the store, prioritising high-value, high-volume and known problem lines.

Investigate and resolve negative stock, unknown barcodes, duplicate barcodes and mis-scanning patterns, feeding root causes back to HQ rather than simply correcting the symptom.

Lead the store's preparation for and execution of full stocktakes, including pre-count housekeeping, team briefing, counting discipline and post-count exception resolution.

Own shrinkage performance for the store alongside the Store Manager, identifying loss drivers and putting practical controls in place.

Replenishment & Trading Support

Ensure the shop floor is fully sized and replenished at open, through the day and at close, so we never lose a sale to a size sitting in a box.

Partner with the Store Manager on floor moves, launches and campaign execution, making sure stock is available in the right quantity at the right moment.

Provide the Store Manager and Merchandising with clear, timely feedback on size and line performance, sell-through, over-stocks and gaps.

Support omnichannel fulfilment activity in store, including click and collect and any in-store fulfilment we introduce, to the service levels we set.

Backroom Management & Space

Design and maintain a stockroom layout that works at volume: logical, labelled, densely but safely stored, and quick to pick from.

Manage stockroom capacity actively, flagging space risk ahead of major intakes and working with HQ on solutions before it becomes a trading problem.

Own backroom housekeeping, packaging management, waste and recycling, in line with TALA's sustainability commitments.

Keep all equipment, consumables and ticketing supplies stocked and functioning.

Team Leadership

Lead, coach and develop the stockroom team, building a small operation that takes genuine pride in pace, accuracy and standards.

Own rota planning for the backroom team, matching labour to the delivery schedule and trading peaks within payroll budget.

Recruit, onboard and train new team members on all BOH processes, and build stockroom capability across the wider store team.

Set clear daily targets and priorities, and hold the team to them through visible, on-the-floor leadership.

Compliance, Safety & Deputising

Ensure health and safety compliance across all back of house areas, including manual handling, safe stacking, fire exits and equipment checks, with regular audits and documented training.

Embed loss prevention procedures across goods in, stockroom and waste routines.

Ensure the store meets all Bicester Village centre operating standards and requirements.

Act as a key holder, opening and closing the store, and deputise for the Store Manager in their absence - including on trade, service and team decisions.
