Project Overview
I have an existing AI-powered real estate Comparative Market Analysis (CMA) web application built using Replit and AI coding tools.
I am looking for a practical, resourceful person who knows how to use AI coding agents to improve an existing application, troubleshoot problems, and build reliable software.
I am not necessarily looking for someone who manually writes every line of code. I want someone who knows how to direct AI tools such as Replit Agent, review the code they generate, identify mistakes, and test the results before accepting changes.
The application is already functional. My goal is to improve its accuracy, reliability, and overall quality without unnecessarily rebuilding everything from scratch.
The product name and confidential business details will be shared with shortlisted candidates.
What You Will Do
- Work with me to improve the application using Replit Agent and other AI coding tools.
- Understand the existing application before making changes.
- Turn business requirements into clear instructions for AI coding agents.
- Review AI-generated code and identify incorrect logic, bugs, and potential security issues.
- Test changes systematically and verify that they work as intended.
- Troubleshoot problems when AI-generated solutions fail or produce incorrect results.
- Help improve property-data integrations and comparable-sale selection logic.
- Help maintain a reliable valuation engine based on defined rules and calculations.
- Ensure AI-generated explanations do not arbitrarily change calculated property values or selected comparable sales.
- Use Git and GitHub to protect source code and maintain version history.
- Explain technical problems and proposed solutions in plain English.
Required Skills
- Practical experience using Replit Agent or similar AI coding tools.
- Experience building or improving working applications through AI-assisted development.
- Ability to debug and review AI-generated code rather than simply accepting its output.
- Basic understanding of web application architecture, APIs, databases, and software testing.
- Familiarity with GitHub and version control.
- Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Clear communication and willingness to work collaboratively.
Experience with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, OpenAI APIs, and data-driven applications is beneficial.
Experience with real estate technology, property data, comparable-sale analysis, regression, or automated valuation models is a plus.
You do not need to be an expert in every technology listed, but you must understand enough about software development to recognize errors and verify that AI-generated solutions are reliable.
Initial Paid Assignment
We will begin with a small, paid assessment.
The first assignment will be to:
1. Review the existing application and understand its current architecture.
2. Identify the three most important technical issues or risks.
3. Explain how AI coding tools could help address them.
4. Recommend a prioritized improvement plan.
5. Identify one small, clearly defined improvement that could be completed and tested within the agreed budget.
Do not rebuild the application or make unapproved changes to the production version.
Budget and Long-Term Opportunity
My budget is $10 USD per hour.
I will pay for the initial assignment and any additional work that we agree upon in advance. Please provide an estimated number of hours and clear deliverables before starting.
If we work well together, I am interested in a long-term working relationship to continue improving and expanding the application.
There may be an opportunity to discuss equity in the future through a separate written agreement. Equity is not guaranteed and is not a substitute for payment for agreed work.
