Adapt the 2020 AutoCAD Project to Reproduce the 2018 Drawings
Delivery deadline: Monday, 14 September 2026.
I am looking for an experienced AutoCAD professional to adapt an existing DWG project to reproduce drawings numbered 12 to 38 inclusive — 27 drawings in total — from the 2018 project, supplied in PDF format.
I will provide:
- The project dated 2020 in AutoCAD DWG format, which is the required working base.
- The project drawings dated 2018 in PDF format, which define the required final result.
These dates refer to project revisions, not AutoCAD software versions.
The existing 2020 DWG must be used as the technical and dimensional foundation for the work. It contains the reference points, linear dimensions, elevation levels, base geometry and editable drawing elements needed to reproduce the 2018 design accurately.
The task is to work from this DWG, compare it with the 2018 PDFs, retain the parts that match and adapt the areas that changed. The existing reference points, dimensions and elevation information must be used to correctly position and dimension the resulting drawings.
The final result must reproduce the 2018 project exactly as shown in the supplied PDFs, using the technical information and editable elements available in the 2020 DWG.
The scope includes:
- Adapting the geometry and drawing content to match the 2018 design.
- Producing fully editable geometry, AutoCAD dimension objects, elevation annotations, text, symbols and hatches.
- Maintaining correct scale, units and consistent layer organisation.
- Preparing print layouts matching the drawing numbers, dates, title blocks, scales and presentation of the 2018 PDFs.
Any discrepancies between the technical information in the DWG and the 2018 PDFs must be flagged for clarification.
The final delivery must be one single DWG file containing all 27 drawings and their print layouts. All drawing geometry must be stored directly within that file. The file must be clearly named and identified as the 2018 project version, with the drawing dates matching the 2018 PDFs.
The delivery must also include PDF exports for comparison and any fonts or plot styles required for correct display and printing.
The complete project and all final deliverables must be submitted by Monday, 14 September 2026.
