Repair Pipe Organ MIDI Output

I’ve inherited a pipe organ here in New Jersey that was modernised years ago with an InterMIDI interface. InterMIDI has since gone out of business and, ever since, the organ gives absolutely no sound when I attempt to drive it over MIDI. I’m not convinced the problem is as simple as a bad cable—I honestly don’t even know the right way to test them—and I’d rather concentrate on the electronics, firmware or software layers that could be muting the instrument.
What I need is a technician or engineer who understands legacy MIDI control systems for pipe organs and can:
• Diagnose why the current InterMIDI circuitry is failing to route or generate audio
• Either repair the existing boards or propose a drop-in replacement that will speak standard MIDI
• Configure any required software, firmware updates or mapping so that stops, pistons and expression behave exactly as they used to
• Leave me with a short, plain-English document outlining what was done and how to maintain it
You’re welcome to suggest modern controllers, microcontrollers, or even a full system refit if that proves the most reliable solution, as long as the console’s historical look is preserved. On-site work is preferred because of the size of the organ, but I’m open to hybrid arrangements if certain modules can be bench-repaired off-site.
