I need a detailed electromagnetic-transient model built in PSCAD for a renewable energy system that can operate in both grid-following (GFL) and grid-forming (GFM) modes. The study will focus on how the plant behaves when it switches between—or simultaneously supports—these two control philosophies, so I want the model structured so that parameters and control blocks for each mode are clearly separated yet easy to toggle.

My present configuration notes the energy sources simply as “GFL, GFM.” If you feel solar power, wind power or hydropower modules would represent the behaviour more realistically, let me know; I’m flexible as long as the final model still captures the dual-mode interaction.

Deliverables
• A fully runnable PSCAD project file (.psc) that includes the renewable source blocks, converter interface, control loops for both GFL and GFM, and the necessary grid impedance representation
• A concise walkthrough document explaining each subsystem, key parameters and how to switch or blend the operating modes
• A brief validation report showing the dynamic response for typical events such as a voltage dip and a reference step

I will test by loading your file in the latest PSCAD version and reproducing the results you outline. Please keep the model well-commented so I can adapt it later.
