Remote Small-Business Bookkeeping Setup

My small but growing business needs a reliable, detail-oriented bookkeeper to keep our finances crystal-clear. We have no accounting system in place yet, so you will be building the ledgers from the ground up—choosing or configuring the right software, setting up the chart of accounts, and recording every transaction going forward.

Here’s what I need each month:
• Enter all sales, purchase, expense, cash and bank transactions
• Reconcile bank statements and cash on hand
• Track supplier balances and upcoming payments
• Produce a clean monthly Profit & Loss statement
• Walk me through the numbers in plain language so I know exactly where the money is going

I’m comfortable with Tally but open to your professional recommendation if another platform will serve us better.
We’ll work remotely, and I’ve budgeted roughly 1,000 per month for ongoing support, with room to adjust once we settle into a routine. If you are meticulous with numbers, proactive about keeping books tidy, and patient enough to explain the figures in simple terms, I’d love to hear how you would tackle this from day one.
