About Monkedia
Monkedia is a performance marketing agency that helps direct-to-consumer and ecommerce brands grow through paid digital advertising, creative strategy, web development, and email marketing. We work with brands that care about revenue, not vanity metrics. Our work is measured in outcomes such as ROAS, MER, CAC, AOV, and profitable growth.

About the Role
This role is responsible for creating qualified sales conversations for Monkedia. You will work both cold Apollo lists and warm lists made up of prior inquiries, referrals, past conversations, event contacts, and other prospects who already have some connection to the agency.
You will be the first meaningful human interaction many prospects have with Monkedia. Your job is not to pressure people into a generic agency pitch. Your job is to understand the business, identify whether there is a real fit, communicate our value clearly, and create qualified opportunities for the person responsible for closing the deal.
The strongest person in this role understands the world our prospects operate in. You can speak credibly with ecommerce founders, marketing leaders, and operators about customer acquisition, paid media, creative fatigue, landing pages, tracking, offers, and the pressure to make advertising produce profitable revenue.

What You Own
Build and work daily prospecting workflows across Apollo cold lists and Monkedia warm lists.
Research accounts and contacts before outreach so messaging is relevant to the company, category, growth stage, offer, and likely marketing challenges.
Make outbound calls and conduct structured follow-up by email, SMS, LinkedIn, or other approved channels.
Respond quickly and thoughtfully to warm leads, referrals, inbound inquiries, and prospects who re-engage with Monkedia.
Use discovery questions to understand the prospect's business model, customer, current acquisition mix, paid-media spend, goals, constraints, and urgency.
Explain Monkedia's capabilities in plain language, including paid acquisition on Meta and Google, direct-response creative, landing-page and web development, email marketing, and ecommerce growth strategy.
Qualify opportunities against agreed criteria and book high-quality discovery calls for the closer or strategy team.
Maintain complete and accurate CRM records, including activity, contact status, qualification notes, next steps, and follow-up dates.
Test hooks, talk tracks, offers, and objection-handling approaches, then document what is producing conversations and what is not.
Deliver a clear weekly view of activity, connection rates, qualified opportunities, meetings booked, show rates, and pipeline contribution.

What We Are Looking For
1+ year of experience in cold calling, appointment setting, SDR, BDR, inside sales, or a similar prospecting role.
Demonstrated comfort making a high volume of outbound calls and following up consistently without needing to be chased.
Experience working from a structured lead list or sales engagement platform. Apollo experience is strongly preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication. You can sound natural, direct, curious, and professional rather than scripted or aggressive.
Working knowledge of ecommerce and direct-response marketing, including DTC brands, customer acquisition, paid social, Google Ads, creative, landing pages, conversion rates, and email.
Ability to understand and explain the difference between generating traffic and generating profitable revenue.
Comfort speaking with founders, CMOs, heads of marketing, and other senior decision-makers.
Strong listening and qualification skills. You do not confuse a friendly conversation with a qualified opportunity.
Reliable organization and follow-through across cold and warm lead pipelines.
Meaningful overlap with U.S. working hours.

Nice to Have
Previous experience selling marketing services, paid media, creative services, web development, or email marketing.
Experience selling to ecommerce, consumer brands, subscription businesses, or other performance-driven companies.
Familiarity with Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, Shopify, GA4, Klaviyo, or common ecommerce tools.
Experience with HubSpot, Close, GoHighLevel, Pipedrive, or another CRM.
A track record of improving meeting quality, show rates, or conversion from contact to opportunity, not only hitting activity volume.

This Role Is Not a Fit If
You are uncomfortable making phone calls or rely only on sending automated messages.
You treat every prospect the same and do not research before reaching out.
You sell with pressure, exaggeration, or generic marketing language you do not understand.
You cannot explain what Monkedia does in terms a DTC founder or marketing leader would recognize.
You optimize for booked meetings at any cost and ignore fit, timing, budget, or business reality.
You are inconsistent with follow-up or leave CRM records incomplete.

What Success Looks Like
Apollo and warm lists are worked consistently, with clear daily priorities and no avoidable lead leakage.
Prospects receive relevant outreach that reflects their business and likely growth constraints.
The number of qualified conversations and attended discovery calls grows over time.
The closer and strategy team receive useful context before every meeting.
Activity, qualification, and pipeline data are accurate enough to support decisions about messaging, list quality, and sales capacity.
You become fluent enough in Monkedia's services and point of view to earn trust before a sales call begins.
