Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Health Information Technician to join our team on a part-time basis. This is a remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health information management and a passion for improving patient care through accurate and efficient record-keeping.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyze patient records for accuracy and completeness
Enter and update patient information into electronic health record systems
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to health information management
Maintain confidentiality and security of patient records
Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely record-keeping
Assist with audits and quality assurance processes
Provide support and training to staff on proper record-keeping procedures
Stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices in health information management
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field
At least 2 years of experience in health information management or medical records
Proficiency in electronic health record systems
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and remotely
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and other relevant laws and regulations
Contract Details:
This is a part-time position, with the potential for full-time hours in the future. The schedule is flexible and can be discussed during the interview process. This is a remote position, allowing you to work from home. Compensation will be competitive and based on experience.
