I am a Public Health Scientist building a localized housing COOP and need an experienced structural engineer to help me build on where my current Housing Coop is. While I started a material recycling aquisition startup to gain materials, while using tents to bushwack offgrid to slowly go from tenting to building shacks; I want to add a fully remote position to the organization: I will provide photos, videos, measurements, and slowly start to create drawings as well as mappings of existing locations and drawings; you will review the data and tell me exactly how the site can be improved, braced, materials transported, managing the specialized skilled and General labour that's required; given the COOP currently owns the structure but not the land, navigating how we can grow into fencing parameters; and continue towards being able to grow our inventory. From navigating how to improve our current storage ability for workers; the need for hot water systems and more; you are part of the development at this micro stage.
Scope of work
• Evaluate the current condition of the portfolio and deck,
Inquire about the various materials for roofing, walls, doors, e.t.c.
• As we are not big enough to loan or purchase cranes, jacks, e.t.c
we do own dollies, bicycles, can rent Vans for moving and really need to think small to inrease our inventory; while needing to work towards permitted structures and be able to go from tents, to shacks, to cottages, to houses, to townhouses. Over the next 30 years.
We went to be able to grow into being able to secure permits but at this stage,
the goal is being a more competitive housing organization in the areas of workers, materials
and product quality.
• Supply a clear, digitally signed PDF report that my mover and local authorities can rely on.
Managing microdevelopment meetings that show where the organization was when we signed you as a contractor, where the budgets where, and how you've been able to become an asset to the developer. Turnaround of one week after you receive my documentation would keep the project on schedule. We've had two good Summers of some traffic using our inventory; while having a steady rise in workers able to turn around the construction demand needed for the renovations as the rainy season as well as tresspass notices impacts development; but as we slowly get into fall; want to add a contractor to the team that can work remotely but also help add a targeted momentum to everything. We produce concerts and festivals; which took a bit of off season during covid; so the move into real estate and breaking out of leasing and subleasing into building inventory while figuring out permitting makes this protfolio potetnially someone that's able to find more work within the vast range of activations we may be bringing to market.
