Reformat Excel Sales Data

I have a single Excel file containing 1,500 rows of raw sales data that now needs to become a proper, import-ready database table. Column headers are inconsistent, several cells are merged, and numeric and date formats vary from row to row. Your task is to extract every record, clean and standardise the fields, and deliver the final result as a well-structured CSV file.

The goal is simple: once you are done, I want to drop the cleaned CSV straight into my system without any further tweaking. Feel free to tackle the job with native Excel tools, Power Query, VBA, or even a quick Python/pandas script—whatever gets us to a tidy, reliable output.

Acceptance criteria:
• All 1,500 sales records preserved exactly once.
• Consistent column names and formats (dates in YYYY-MM-DD, currency as decimals, no merged cells).
• Final file saved as UTF-8 CSV, comma-delimited, free of blank lines or stray characters.

Please include the transformed worksheet or a brief note on the steps you took so I can audit the process later. Once the file imports cleanly, the project is complete.
