Project Title

Film Editor to Refine and Tighten Scenes in a Feature-Length Love Story

Project Description

I’m the director and editor of a feature-length love story. The film is already cut, and I need an experienced editor to help me make it stronger. This is not a full re-edit. I want someone to go through it scene by scene and help me sharpen what’s there.

What I need:

Tighter scenes, where every moment earns its place
Better pacing and rhythm (where to trim, hold, or cut earlier)
Stronger emotional moments
Smoother transitions between scenes
Clear, honest feedback on what works and what doesn’t
Suggestions on scene order, music, and silence

What I’ll provide:

A watchable cut of the film (link or file)
Timestamps for the scenes I’m least sure about
The project file if hands-on edits are needed ([DaVinci Resolve / Premiere / other])

What I’m looking for:

Experience editing narrative films or drama, ideally romance
Strong story and emotional instincts, not only technical skills
Direct, clear communication

When you bid, please include:

A link to your portfolio, especially emotional or narrative scenes
A few lines on how you would approach improving a film that’s already cut
Your price and timeline

The film is unreleased, so I’m happy to sign an NDA. I’m open to starting with a small paid test on one or two scenes before moving forward.

Film professionals only. I’m only considering editors who have worked on produced films, such as feature films, shorts, series, or festival or broadcast projects. Your bid must include (1) a link to your portfolio or IMDb page and (2) the title and your role on at least one film you’ve worked on. Bids without these will be ignored and not replied to. Please don’t message me before bidding.
