I need a qualified civil designer to prepare a complete gravity-sewer extension and service stub for an existing lot in Redlands, Queensland. The design must be ready for lodgement and works approval with Redlands City Council, so it has to follow all current SEQ Code and Council standards. Sewer and Water services are constructed by Redlands Waater.
Scope
The job is limited to pipe work only—no manholes (existing in place) or junction structures are needed. You will determine the optimum alignment, grade and cover, size the pipes, and show the tie-in to Council’s existing main. All drawings, long-sections and supporting calculations must be supplied in a format the Council accepts (DWG/PDF plus editable spreadsheets). I typically work in AutoCAD Civil 3D, but you can use any equivalent platform so long as the final deliverables are compatible.
Deliverables
• Layout plan and long–section showing pipe extension and lot stub
• Design calcs confirming capacity, minimum grades, clearances and cover
• Connection detail at the existing gravity main (Manhole on adjoining property with permission on hand. Inver levels and survey complete)
• Red-lined service location ready for As-Constructed conversion
• Completed Redlands Council forms and schedule of quantities
Requirements
• The civil engineer must be certified in Queensland. Experience working with Redlands Council is preferred but not mandatory.
Acceptance
I will consider the task complete once the submission is lodged without design-related RFIs from Council.
Let me know your estimated turnaround and any similar projects you have completed in Queensland.
