Project Overview
We are looking for an experienced Squarespace web designer to professionally redesign and enhance our existing e-commerce website, LJÖRK, an Australian luxury skincare brand founded on scientific research and skin biology.
Our website is already operational, but we want to substantially improve its appearance, functionality, user experience and sales performance.
Our objective is to create a modern, elegant, visually appealing online store that communicates the sophistication of our products and their scientific foundations.

Scope of Work
1. Website Design and Branding
* Redesign and improve the existing homepage.
* Create a consistent, elegant and premium visual identity.
* Improve typography, colours, layouts and product presentation.
* Optimise the website for desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
* Maintain consistency with our existing branding.

2. E-commerce Optimisation
* Improve product pages, descriptions and image layouts.
* Improve product navigation and shopping experience.
* Optimise calls to action and purchasing flow.
* Review and improve the checkout experience within Squarespace's capabilities.
* Improve the presentation of product bundles and promotions.

3. Website Functionality
* Review and correct existing website errors, broken links and outdated elements.
* Improve page loading performance.
* Integrate Instagram and other social media platforms.
* Configure or improve newsletter subscription and customer email capture.
* Ensure the website is easy for us to maintain and update.

4. SEO and Marketing
* Implement basic on-page SEO.
* Optimise page titles, meta descriptions and image alt text.
* Review Google Analytics and other relevant tracking integrations.
* Make recommendations to improve visitor engagement and conversion rates.

Required Experience
* Demonstrated expertise in Squarespace website design and e-commerce.
* Strong portfolio of modern, professional websites.
* Experience with skincare, cosmetics, beauty or luxury brands is highly desirable.
* Understanding of mobile-first design and conversion optimisation.
* Ability to work with an existing Squarespace website without unnecessarily rebuilding it.

* Fully redesigned and optimised Squarespace website.
* Improved homepage and key product pages.
* Consistent mobile-responsive design.

* Basic SEO optimisation.

NOTE: All work must be completed within our existing Squarespace account. Ownership of the website, original design assets and content will remain with LJÖRK.
