I have a collection of printed reports preserved only as scanned images, and each page carries handwritten notes in the margins. The goal is to turn every scan into a clean, fully searchable PDF that reproduces both the original printed text and every handwritten comment.

Here is what the job involves: re-type the printed content exactly as it appears, faithfully transcribe each handwritten note, and place those notes so they read naturally—either inline, in parentheses, or as footnotes if that keeps the layout clearer. Accuracy matters: spelling, punctuation, tables, headers, footers, and page breaks should mirror the source. Once the text is set, export to a professional-looking PDF that opens flawlessly in any standard reader.

Please feel comfortable using the tools you know best—Word, Google Docs, InDesign, or similar—as long as the finished PDF meets the above requirements and supports full-text search.

Deliverables
• Editable source file (DOCX, IDML, or equivalent)
• Final, searchable PDF matching the scan layout
• Brief log of any words you were unsure about so I can verify them

Drop me a quick message confirming your turnaround time and any similar projects you have handled, and I will send a sample page so you can gauge the scope before we begin.
