Record Realistic Personal Video Messages

We are looking for 5–10 people to record short, natural video messages for four different occasions:

Birthday
Wedding
Graduation
Anniversary

Each selected freelancer will record 4 separate short videos — one for each occasion.

You do not need to be a professional actor. We are mainly looking for people who can speak naturally and comfortably in front of a smartphone camera.

Project Details

You will receive 4 short scripts from us:

Video 1 — Birthday Message
Act as though you are wishing a friend or family member a happy birthday.

Video 2 — Wedding Message
Act as though you are a wedding guest leaving a personal message for the bride and groom.

Video 3 — Graduation Message
Act as though someone close to you has just graduated and you are congratulating them.

Video 4 — Anniversary Message
Act as though you are congratulating a couple on their wedding anniversary.

Each video will be approximately 8–15 seconds long.

Compensation

$30 CAD total per freelancer

This payment covers all 4 completed videos.

We plan to hire approximately 5–10 different people for this project.

What We Are Looking For

The most important requirement is that the videos feel real and natural.

We do NOT want the videos to feel like advertisements, commercials, or professional spokesperson videos.

Imagine that someone simply handed you a phone and said:

“Can you record a quick birthday message for my friend?”

or:

“Can you leave a message for the bride and groom?”

Your reaction, voice, facial expressions, pauses, laughter, and gestures should feel genuine.

Small imperfections are completely fine and can actually make the video feel more authentic.

Example Acting Style

For a birthday message, you might smile, laugh slightly, and speak like you are talking directly to someone you know.

For a wedding message, you might become slightly emotional or give the couple some funny marriage advice.

For a graduation message, you might sound excited and proud.

For an anniversary message, you might give the couple a warm congratulations or some playful relationship advice.

The exact scripts will be provided after hiring.

Recording Requirements

Please record 4 separate videos.
Background

Use a normal, realistic environment such as:

Living room
Kitchen
Garden
Patio
Restaurant
Event-style environment
Simple outdoor location

The location does not need to look like an actual wedding or birthday party.

We want normal real-life environments.

Important — Please Do Not Edit the Videos

Please send us the raw recordings.

Do not add:

Music
Captions
Subtitles
Logos
Filters
Beauty filters
Transitions
Special effects
AI backgrounds
Background replacement

We will handle all editing ourselves.

Natural Acting Is Very Important

Please avoid sounding like you are reading a script.

It is okay to:

Pause naturally
Smile before speaking
Laugh
Look away briefly
Use your hands naturally
Slightly change the wording if necessary to sound natural
Have small imperfections

The goal is to make each recording feel like a real message from a real person.

Deliverables

Each freelancer will provide:

1 Birthday video

1 Wedding video

1 Graduation video

1 Anniversary video

Total: 4 short raw videos

Each video should be approximately 8–15 seconds.
