I have a batch of garment photos that need to look as if they are being worn by a real-world mannequin, then presented against a pure white backdrop in 4K resolution. My priority is the “realistic mannequin” effect in a standard standing pose, so the edited images must feel natural—no awkward joints, no warping, and certainly no flat, lifeless silhouettes.
Because these shots will go straight to my online store and social channels, I need the texture of every fabric to stay crisp after retouching: fine knits should still look soft, technical fabrics should retain their weave, and delicate materials must not lose transparency or sheen. A subtle, high-end color grade that matches the original garment tone is essential.
Key expectations
• Remove the original background cleanly and replace it with solid #FFFFFF.
• Composite each garment onto a proportional, realistic mannequin body (standard standing pose).
• Preserve and enhance fabric texture without introducing over-sharpening or haloing.
• Supply finished files in 4K PNG plus optimized JPEG (sRGB) ready for e-commerce upload.
I normally work in Adobe Photoshop, so layered PSDs with preserved paths are a plus, but flattened versions will do if you prefer another workflow. Consistent lighting, even hems, and aligned shoulder seams are the final checkpoints I’ll use to sign off. If you can turn around an initial sample promptly, that will help lock in the rest of the set.
