I’m launching an end-to-end e-commerce platform focused exclusively on selling downloadable digital products. The stack is already decided—React for the responsive front end, Node.js with Express for the API layer, and MongoDB as the data store.
Here’s what I need you to put in place:
• Secure email-and-password sign-up / log-in flow, complete with JWT handling and refresh logic.
• RESTful endpoints for catalog, cart, checkout, and admin actions, wired to MongoDB models.
• Role-based controls so that administrators can add, edit, or retire products while shoppers can only purchase.
• Credit/Debit Card payment integration (Stripe is preferred, but I’m open if you have a stronger recommendation).
• Socket.IO-powered real-time notifications for order status updates and low-stock alerts.
• A mobile-first React interface that gracefully handles browsing, cart management, and instant file delivery once payment clears.
• Git version control with clear commit history and a short README that explains local setup, .env requirements, and deployment steps.
Acceptance will be based on:
1. All API routes passing Postman tests I’ll supply.
2. Successful purchase flow from registration to digital file download using a test card.
3. Admin dashboard proving CRUD control over products and orders.
4. Clean, commented code that lints without errors (ESLint + Prettier).
If you’ve shipped similar React/Node stores before, even better—send over a repo or demo link so I can see your style.
