I run a small retail shop and need a web-based dashboard that lets me track products and daily sales from any device. Two secure roles drive everything: Admins handle setup, while Employees simply log in, pick items from a clean checkout screen, choose quantity, and the system saves the sale together with the payment type (cash, card, or other). Stock should update instantly and show a warning once it dips below a threshold I set, but it must never block the sale outright.

Core functions I expect
• Product management – add, edit, delete items with name, SKU, price, thumbnail and current stock.
• Sales workflow – the product-picker checkout described above automatically decreases inventory.
• Visual dashboard – charts for daily, weekly and monthly revenue plus an at-a-glance low-stock list.
• Reporting – one-click export of filtered results to Excel and PDF.
• Fully responsive UI for desktop, tablet and phone.

Preferred stack
React.js on the front end, Node.js with Express on the back, MongoDB for data, and deployment to my VPS (or cPanel if you find that easier). I’m open to adjacent libraries such as Chart.js, Mongoose, or Material-UI as long as you explain the choice.

Deliverables
– Private GitHub repository with tidy, documented source
– Live app deployed on my server and verified working
– Short written guide or brief screencast showing the main workflows

If you’ve built similar inventory or point-of-sale tools, let me see them. Efficiency, clean code, and clear explanations will decide the hire.
