I have a live healthcare web app built with React + Vite and I’m ready to give it a visual and usability upgrade. In this first phase I want you to focus exclusively on the Patient Forms and Records area. The goal is to modernise the look and feel without touching any of the existing functionality or backend calls.
Key outcomes I’m after:
• Forms that feel lighter and can be completed more quickly—better field grouping, clear affordances, logical tab order, inline validation, and micro-interactions that guide users.
• Read-at-a-glance patient data, especially Medical History & Diagnoses and Appointments & Care Notes, with improved typography, spacing, colour hierarchy, and flexible table / card views.
• Flawless responsiveness so doctors and nurses can move from desktop to tablet or phone with no loss of usability.
You’ll be working in a React component library that already exists; I expect reusable, well-named CSS (CSS Modules, SCSS or twin.macro are all fine) and refactored components rather than brand-new pages. Experience with SaaS dashboards, accessibility, and design systems is definitely a plus, and any prior work on healthcare UIs will make onboarding faster.
Deliverables
1. Updated React components for the Patient Forms and Records screens.
2. Responsive breakpoints and styles that cover desktop ≥1280 px, tablet 768-1279 px, and mobile ≤767 px.
3. A short hand-off document (or Storybook stories) that shows how the new components are meant to be reused across the rest of the app.
I’ll provide the code repo, current Figma file, and access to a staging API once we kick off. If this phase goes smoothly, we’ll move on to dashboards and reports next.
