I’m halfway through a React-based food-delivery platform and need a capable developer—or small team—to bring it across the finish line. The codebase is on Git and already has the basic layout, routing, and component structure in place, but several critical pieces remain:
• Frontend polish
The interface should feel modern and clean on both desktop and mobile. I have wireframes, a style-guide, and a component library started in Material-UI, yet pages such as the menu grid, cart drawer, and order-tracking view still lack final styling and responsive tweaks.
• Core backend features
A Node/Express API is live, however user authentication (JWT with refresh tokens) and order management endpoints need to be completed and wired to MongoDB. The data models are sketched out; you’ll flesh them out, write the controllers, and connect them to the React front end through Redux Toolkit (already set up).
• API integrations
The project still has to hook into third-party services for address autocomplete, restaurant geo-coding, and push notifications. I’ll supply the API keys and documentation—your task is to integrate them neatly and expose the data to the UI.
Acceptance is straightforward:
1. Frontend passes Lighthouse mobile scores ≥90 and has no console errors.
2. Secure sign-up/login, token refresh, and protected routes fully functional.
3. Orders can be created, updated, queried, and persisted in the database with real-time status reflected on the client.
4. All new code covered by unit tests (Jest/React Testing Library for frontend, Supertest for API).
If this hand-off goes smoothly, I have a series of follow-up projects waiting, so clean, well-documented code is a must. Let me know your availability, preferred workflow, and any similar apps you’ve delivered.
