Rank Students by Excel Scores

I have an Excel spreadsheet that already contains every student’s name, subject and raw score. I need those scores organised strictly by mark, highest to lowest, so I can see a clear ranking at a glance.

Here is what I’d like back:
• A cleaned-up version of the same workbook (no format changes to my original data) with a new sheet that lists the students in descending order of their marks.
• A rank column automatically generated with a simple formula so I can refresh it whenever new data is added.
• A brief note inside the file explaining any functions or pivots you used, so I can maintain it myself later.

No manual re-typing please—just let Excel do the heavy lifting through sorting, pivot tables, or any formula you prefer. If you spot ties, use the standard Excel ranking approach that leaves identical scores sharing the same rank number.

The file is ready to send as soon as you’re on board, and I’m hoping for a quick turnaround.
