I’m building a colourful, vibrant, multiplayer quiz experience exclusively for Android. Each play-through should debit 10 coins and serve up 10 unique questions pulled at random from a larger pool, with a balanced mix of multiple-choice and true/false formats. A visible countdown timer of 10 seconds needs to push the pace, while instant feedback—green for correct, red for wrong—keeps users engaged. At the end of the session a results screen should flash a short confetti animation, display total score of the day, and offer a share option.
Competition is part of the game, so the app must maintain a leaderboard that automatically rank 10 daily toppers. Scores should update in real time and persist even if the user reinstalls the app or switches devices.
Core deliverables
• Production-ready Android Studio project (Kotlin or Java) with clean, well-commented code
• Responsive UI that follows Material guidelines yet feels bright and playful in line with the chosen colour palette
• Local question engine supporting at least 200 entries, easily extendable through JSON or a lightweight CMS/API
• Timer, scoring logic, confetti animation, and immediate answer validation fully integrated with coins purchase option.
• Cloud-backed leaderboard (Firebase, Supabase, or similar) with daily views
• Signed release APK/AAB plus installation and build instructions
Acceptance criteria
1. Launching the app always debits 10 coins and presents 10 non-repeating questions.
2. Users see remaining time for each question and cannot answer once it expires.
3. Final screen shows score (correct answer count/played questions count), confetti burst and a “Play Again” button.
4. Leaderboard accurately refreshes, shows the player name with rank and total score and credits 10% of total coins debited from all players of the day to the top player of the day at the end of day.
5. All features run smoothly on Android 8.0 and above.
Hand-off will be considered complete once the APK passes these checks on two physical devices and the full project compiles from source without errors.
