QR Trolley Location Tracker

I want a straightforward system that shows me exactly where each trolley is inside the facility at any moment. Every trolley will carry a unique QR code; when it reaches a fixed checkpoint a staff member will scan the code, and the system must immediately update that trolley’s “current location” to the name of that checkpoint.

The workflow I have in mind:

• QR codes are generated once and attached to all existing and future trolleys.
• A browser-based or lightweight mobile interface lets staff at each checkpoint scan the code with a camera and hit Submit.
• The scan writes a time-stamped record to a database and overwrites the trolley’s “latest position” field with that checkpoint’s label.
• I can open a web dashboard to see an at-a-glance map or table of every trolley’s last reported location, with search and basic filtering.
• Simple CSV export and a daily summary email would be useful for auditing.

Tech stack is flexible as long as it is quick to load on standard Android/iOS devices, secure, and easy for me to maintain or host (Laravel, Node, Django, Firebase, or similar are fine).

Acceptance criteria for hand-off:
1. Unique QR generation and printable sheet for at least 100 trolleys.
2. Scan page loads under 3 seconds on a mid-range phone over site Wi-Fi.
3. Dashboard correctly refreshes location within 5 seconds of a scan.
4. Clear setup guide covering database, hosting, and how to add new checkpoints or trolleys.
