I need a concise Python script that will wrap my videos in DRM for pure content-protection purposes. The material is delivered through MPEG-DASH, so the crucial format to handle is .mpd (manifest plus its related segments).

What I expect the script to do
• Take an existing DASH package (or un-packaged MP4 assets, if that makes the workflow easier) and apply encryption suitable for a modern DRM system such as Widevine or FairPlay.
• Generate the updated .mpd manifest with the proper `` nodes inserted.
• Leave me with a protected media folder ready to be served from my CDN.

Acceptance criteria
– Running `python protect.py --input /path/to/video --key KEYID:KEY` produces an encrypted stream and a compliant .mpd.
– All players that recognise the chosen DRM (Shaka, ExoPlayer, Safari) should play it once the licence is supplied.
– Clear, step-by-step README explaining prerequisites (ffmpeg, mp4box, shaka-packager, pywidevine, etc.) and how to generate / rotate keys.

If you already have experience automating shaka-packager or similar tools from Python, this will be a quick project. Please keep the script readable, with comments that show where to hook in different keys or change encryption schemes.
