I need a small interactive abacus “game-lesson” written in Python that helps learners aged roughly 5 – 14 grasp basic counting and simple arithmetic by sliding beads on a virtual soroban-style frame. The goal is to keep it fun and visually engaging while still following genuine abacus rules, so children can develop number sense rather than just click through animations.
Core flow
• A clean start screen that lets the learner pick a challenge: free practice, guided exercises (e.g., “show 27”), or timed quiz rounds.
• Drag-or-click bead movement that mirrors the real mechanics (upper and lower deck, carry logic).
• Instant feedback: correct moves light up green, mistakes prompt a gentle hint and reset option.
• A running score or star system that rewards accuracy and speed, with simple sound cues (optional mute).
• Progress tracking saved locally in JSON or a tiny SQLite file so the child can resume where they left off.
Tech notes
• Please build it in pure Python 3.x with either Pygame or Tkinter—whichever you’re faster with—so I can run it cross-platform.
