PVC Sculpture CAD Nesting

I have 35 geometric PVC pieces that interlock through pre-cut slots and come in six colours. I can ship the actual parts or share high-resolution photos—whichever makes the digitising easier for you.

The job is to capture every piece accurately, convert them into clean vector outlines, then nest those outlines as efficiently as possible onto 4 × 8 ft sheets. I only need the finished nests grouped by similar colours, not separated sheet-by-sheet for every single hue. When we ran this before, each colour ended up taking one or more full sheets; I expect something similar this time.

Deliverables I must receive
• A master CAD file (DWG or DXF is fine) containing:
  – individual outlines of each unique piece, slots included at true size
  – optimised nesting layouts per colour group ready for laser or CNC routing
• A quick reference PDF of those same nests so the fabricator can visual-check before cutting.

Accuracy is critical: the slots must line up perfectly after cutting, and the nests should minimise off-cut waste. If you normally work in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or another package, that’s no problem—just export to DWG/DXF for me.

Once you confirm the scanning approach you prefer, I’ll get the physical pieces or image set to you right away and we can move straight into digitising.
