I have a commercial solar-plus-storage portfolio that now needs sealed documentation for permit submission. The design combines roughly fifty 300 kW PV sub-arrays—maximising the available rooftop area and placing the balance on a new carport structure—tied into a 2 MWh BESS and three Level 3 EV chargers.
The task is straightforward: create a clean, code-compliant single-line diagram set and stamp it with a licensed Professional Engineer seal. Both the roof and carport layouts must be reflected on the drawings, and every element has to satisfy the latest NEC requirements and any other jurisdictional rules so the AHJ signs off without comments. My primary goal is regulatory compliance; accuracy and clarity on conductor sizing, protection, interconnection, grounding, and coordination with the BESS fire-safety provisions are essential.
Deliverables
• PE-stamped SLDs in PDF (and native CAD) for rooftop, carport, BESS, and EV charger integration
• A brief calculation package covering load flow, short-circuit, voltage drop, arc-flash, and OCPD selection
• One consolidated cover sheet carrying the engineer’s seal for the entire permit set
If you have recent experience in portfolio-scale PV, battery storage, and fast-charger projects, I’d like to see a sample. Turnaround is ASAP but I would prefer to submit to the city within the next week.
