Composer Needed for Punjabi Background Score (BGM) for a Feature-Length Love Story
Project Description
Film professionals only. I’m only considering composers who have scored produced films, such as feature films, shorts, series, or festival or broadcast projects. Your bid must include (1) a link to your portfolio, IMDb, or Spotify/SoundCloud and (2) the title and your role on at least one film you’ve scored. Bids without these will be ignored. I’m the director and editor of a feature-length love story, and the picture is fully cut. I need a composer to create the background score (BGM) with an authentic Punjabi feel that supports the emotion of each scene without overpowering the dialogue.
What I need:
An original background score for the full film, scene by scene
Punjabi musical flavor, using instruments and tones such as dhol, tumbi, sarangi, harmonium, and tabla, blended with cinematic strings or piano where it fits
Emotional cues for romance, longing, separation, tension, and joyful moments
A main theme with variations that can return across the film
Music that leaves room for dialogue, with silence used where it helps
What I’ll provide:
A watchable cut of the film with timecode
A spotting list: where music starts and stops, and the mood for each scene
Reference tracks for the feel I want
What I’m looking for:
Proven experience scoring narrative film or drama, ideally romance
Real knowledge of Punjabi and North Indian musical styles
Ability to work to picture and sync cues to the edit
Clear communication and openness to revisions
Deliverables:
Final mixed cues as WAV files, named by scene
Stems (e.g. strings, percussion, vocals/instruments) for the mix
A cue sheet listing each cue with its start and end time

Rights: I need full ownership or a full commercial license for film, festival, and online release. Please state your terms in your bid.
