Publishing Contract Legal Review

I’ve just received a six-page, single-spaced publishing agreement and, though it looks promising, this is my first time negotiating such a document. I’d like an experienced publishing-law attorney to go through the entire contract line by line and flag anything that could come back to bite me.
My top priorities are:
• Royalties and payments – Are the royalty percentages, accounting periods, and audit rights fair and enforceable?
• Handling possible disputes – How is the dispute-resolution clause written, and does it leave me exposed or powerless?
Beyond those points, I still want a full, comprehensive review so no hidden traps are missed. Please mark up the contract where language should be clarified, narrowed, or renegotiated, and provide a plain-English memo explaining each issue, why it matters, and a suggested counter-proposal.
Deliverables
– Annotated PDF or Word version of the contract with tracked comments
– Summary memo outlining the risk areas and recommended revisions
– Quick follow-up Q&A (email or brief call) so I can move into negotiations fully informed
Experience with publishing agreements, subsidiary rights, and standard royalty structures will be highly valued.
