Proposal: NHG Bike Messenger Program

I’m preparing to pitch a comprehensive initiative that uses my bicycle-messenger start-up and its rider app as a springboard for local impact. I need a well-structured proposal that we can submit to the Notting Hill Housing Group (NHG) outlining three intertwined elements—training, employability, and community engagement—for both youth and adult residents.

Scope of the programme
The document must show how the scheme will:
• teach road safety, on-bike logistics and basic app literacy (training component)
• turn that new skill set into paid, flexible “independent messenger” work (employability component)
• foster neighbourhood connections through green, low-carbon deliveries and volunteer errands for vulnerable residents (community component)

Target groups
Youth and adults are the focus. Seniors are not a primary audience, though you may reference inter-generational collaboration where it strengthens the case.

Desired outcomes
Highlight three measurable results: enhanced skills, improved job prospects and stronger community engagement.

Key deliverables
1. Executive summary tailored to NHG’s funding criteria
2. Evidence-based needs assessment for youth and adult cohorts
3. Detailed curriculum with session objectives, formats and required resources
4. Pathway from training to paid gigs via the company app, including compliance and insurance notes
5. Community impact plan (events, volunteer rides, CO₂ savings)
6. Implementation timeline, KPIs and monitoring framework
7. High-level budget breakdown with milestones and in-kind contributions
8. Appendices: risk assessment, safeguarding, and marketing outline

Acceptance criteria
The proposal must be clear, persuasive and ready for direct submission—no extra editing on my side. It should run 12–18 pages, use plain English, and cite at least three comparable programmes for credibility.
