Proofread 1000 Customer Spreadsheets

I have a collection of roughly 1,000 spreadsheets holding customer information that now need a meticulous data-accuracy audit. The files are a mix of Excel and Google Sheets; each one contains contact details—emails, phone numbers, postal addresses—alongside basic transaction history.

Your task is to comb through every row and flag or correct any inaccuracy you find. For contact data that means checking whether emails are validly structured, phone numbers contain the right country codes and digit counts, and addresses are not obviously malformed or incomplete. On the transaction side I want confirmation that dates, amounts and references line up with the source data I will supply as a CSV lookup file.

Where something is clearly wrong, update it; where the value is doubtful, highlight the cell and add a brief note in an “Issue” column I have already inserted for you.

Deliverables
• A cleaned version of each spreadsheet returned in the same folder structure, with all confirmed corrections applied
• A single consolidated log (CSV or XLSX) listing every correction or unresolved issue, including sheet name, row reference and a short comment

If you already work comfortably with Excel functions, Google Sheets, data-validation tools or scripting approaches such as VBA / Apps Script to speed up repetitive checks, feel free to use them—I’m interested in accuracy and a repeatable process more than in manual proofreading alone. I will spot-check the first batch; if your work passes, we proceed to the remaining files.
