The Project Origination Manager is responsible for identifying and acquiring suitable land for large-scale photovoltaic projects. The focus is on negotiating lease agreements with landowners and establishing contact with municipalities, as well as utilizing IT solutions such as GIS for analysing potential sites. Efficient communication and management of project documentation are also key aspects of this role. It also includes laying the groundwork for a successful large-scale PV project by securing land lease agreements for the project-relevant parcels. By establishing this crucial foundation, the role ensures that the project has a solid basis for further development and eventual realization.
Executing the acquisition of suitable land for solar projects
Negotiating lease agreements with landowners and municipalities
Utilizing IT solutions, including GIS, for identifying and evaluating potential solar site
Reviewing and managing project documents and contracts
Collaborating with a project development team to meet deadlines
Engaging with external partners, landowners, and consultant
Ensuring efficient communication, information management, and documentation
Identifying and securing land, which is fundamental to the project's success. Once the acquisition is complete, the project is handed over to the development team.
Establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, municipalities, and other external partners
Managing these relationships to ensure the successful acquisition of land and the smooth progression of projects from origination to development
Preparation and negotiation of these agreements. Final approval is handled by the appropriate management
Using GIS systems to identify potential project sites and managing all project-related documentation and contracts
A vocational qualification is required for this role
A university degree is not mandatory, as long as the candidate has relevant professional experience in the field
The candidate should have several years of experience in the development and construction of PV, wind, or battery storage projects
Experience in understanding the technical, resource-related, and financial feasibility of project development is crucial
Commercial experience in the energy sector is also desirable, along with a network and knowledge of grid operators, authorities, and municipalities
Strong sales experience and a passion for working with people are essential, as the role involves frequent interaction with landowners, municipalities, and other stakeholders
Required technical skills include an understanding of the technical, resource-related, and financial aspects of project development in the renewable energy sector
Hands-on experience in developing and constructing large-scale PV, wind, or battery storage projects is essential
Proficiency in negotiation and contract management is also important
Flexibility and a willingness to travel are also an important aspects of this role
Any certifications relevant to renewable energy project development, such as project management or technical qualifications, would be advantageous
Fluency in German is essential for this role, as it involves extensive communication with local landowners, municipalities, and stakeholders
Proficiency in English is also preferred to facilitate communication within the company and with international partners
