About the Role
Paired is a global staffing agency that connects top remote talent with leading US companies. We are hiring on behalf of a growing US-based construction company that specializes in high-quality residential remodeling and renovation projects.
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong residential construction background to support and guide the company's project coordinators and site superintendents. This person will not be running their own jobs day to day. Instead, they will review and guide the schedules and progress of the projects the coordinators are managing, helping keep every job moving on time.
The ideal candidate has personally built and owned construction schedules from start to finish, understands the sequence and critical path of residential construction, and can use information to keep multiple jobs on track. This is a fully remote, full-time position working US business hours.
What You Will Do
Review and guide the project schedules created by the company's project coordinators and superintendents, helping keep all jobs on time
Bring a deep understanding of the order of operations in residential construction: what comes first, what comes next, and what sits on the critical path
Help the team manage the design and selections process, making sure selections are finalized and materials are ordered early enough to avoid delays
Read and interpret design documents, distinguishing structural from electrical plans and identifying new construction versus existing structure on a remodel
Use project data to identify where jobs are at risk and help the team move the needle on a daily basis
Coordinate closely with project coordinators, superintendents, design teams, and the client to keep work progressing
Requirements
What You Need
Proven experience managing residential remodeling and renovation projects (this is a hard requirement; commercial-only experience is not a fit)
A track record of personally creating and owning the full project schedule, not just following one
Strong understanding of construction sequencing and critical path planning
Ability to read and interpret construction documents (structural, electrical, architectural)
Comfort working with design and selections processes and material lead times
A data-driven approach to keeping projects on schedule
Experience guiding or supporting other coordinators or site supervisors is a strong plus
Fluent, professional English (written and spoken)
Proficiency with project management and scheduling software (BuilderTrend, Procore, or MS Project a plus)
Technology Requirements
To perform this role remotely, candidates must have:
8th generation or higher Intel Core i5 processor (or equivalent)
Microsoft Windows 11 or higher operating system
16GB of installed physical memory (RAM)
Two monitors, one at least 15" (laptop) and the other at least 24" (two 24" monitors preferred)
A separate mouse if using a laptop
Internet speeds of 50/5 Mbps (download/upload)
A webcam with clear audio and video for video conferencing
A headset and a dedicated quiet space free of noise and distractions
The company provides access to a VOIP phone system and the Microsoft suite of services, with Teams as the primary method of communicating with the team.
What We Offer
Competitive salary based on experience
Paid time off and holidays
Opportunities for professional development and growth
The chance to work directly with an established US-based team
Benefits
Remote Working for US Company
Exposure to new technology & trend
Competitive Salary
