Help Us Change the Way People Use Technology
At DGR Systems, we’re about connecting companies to the right solutions and enabling them to gain the most value from their investments. We go to great lengths to hire great people because, at our core, our clients deserve to have each person working on their project bring qualified expertise, a can-do attitude, and experience-based strategic insights to the table. They need to trust their IT consulting firm as a partner who is there to help accelerate their success and not pass them off to a junior team after the contract has been signed. Want to join us?
THE ROLE
DGR Systems designs and delivers technology solutions that our clients rely on to run their organizations. Behind every project sits a technical team doing complex, specialized work athigh standards, and a clientwho is counting on us to deliver what we committed to.
This role is about more than coordinating tasks. You will own the client relationship, the project record, and the path forward on every engagement you touch, from kickoff through close.
You will report to the Sr. Manager,PMOand work closely with DGR's Technical Leads in a two-in-the-box delivery model.
The Project Manager and Technical Lead bring different responsibilities to theengagement butshare accountability for delivering a successful outcome.
WHY THIS ISN’T A STANDARD BOOKKEEPING JOB
This role will feel different from a PM position where every project follows the same playbook. DGR hasestablisheddelivery methodologies, standards, and support structures, but our engagements vary significantly in size, complexity, technology, and client environment.
A network refresh spanning more than a thousand sites requires a different approach than an identity modernization for a healthcare system or a securityframeworkdeployment for a government organization. We expect our PMs to understand the difference and adjust the level of planning, communication, and governance accordingly. You will work with a Technical Lead who understands the technical work, establisheddelivery methodologies to guide the engagement, and the flexibility to adapt the approach together based on what the project requires.
The PM's role is not to direct the technical team. It is to create the conditions for the technical team to do their best work while keeping the client informed, expectations aligned, and the engagement moving forward.
WHAT YOU’LL OWN
This role covers two things that have to work together for any engagement to succeed.
The Project
Lead technology projects end to end, applying DGR's delivery methodologies to fit the engagement rather than the other way around
Partner with the assigned Technical Lead in a two-in-the-box model, sharing ownership of the outcome andmaking sure priorities, decisions, dependencies, and next stepsremainclear.
Own all project documentation, artifacts, and reporting. The client, leadership, and team should always havean accurateread on where things stand.
Anticipate and clear roadblocks ahead of the team rather than reacting after they have slowed delivery
Surface risks and dependencies early, along with a recommendation for how to address them.
Match the level of process and coordination to what each engagement actually needs.Apply the right level of structure for the size, complexity, and risk ofthe engagement.
The Client Relationship
Be the client's primary contact. Own the relationship through proactive communication, honest status, and expectations that match reality.
Managescopeclearly and professionally. Help clients understand what is included, identifywhen a requestrepresentsa change, and work through those conversations without losing trust.
Coordinate across internal teams, partners, and client stakeholders to keep everyone aligned and moving forward.
You will also keep project records and documentation current throughout each engagement, not as a milestone activity but as an ongoing standard. We treat that as part of the job, not as something to get to later.
HOW WE WORK
We match the level of process to the engagement.Complex or sensitive projects require more structure, while smaller, focused engagements may need less. Strong PMs here know how to recognize the difference.
The Technical Lead is your delivery partner. You are not expected to manage their technical work. You are expected to work alongside them to keep the engagement organized, remove obstacles, manage theclientexperience, and make sure the team is moving toward the same outcome.
Proactive communication matters, especially when the news is difficult. We expect clients to hear about risks, delays, or changes from us early, along with a clear explanation of what happens next.
The project recordstayscurrent.Every engagement should be in good enough shape that another PM could pick it up tomorrow without asking you for context. That is the standard that protects the client and protects DGR.

You'llNeed
3 or more years of project management experience in technology consulting or professional services
A track recordof managing IT deployments, integrations, and migrations across infrastructure, networking, security, or modern workplace environments

A proactive communication style, especially when a project is at risk orexpectationsneedto be reset.

Worked across multiple technology service areas

WHO THIS ISN’T FOR
We want candidates to have a clear picture of the environment before deciding whether DGR is the right fit.
This role may not be the right fit if you prefer to follow the same project playbook regardless of the engagement. We haveestablishedmethodologies, but we expect PMs to apply judgment in how they use them.
You will need to be comfortable having clear conversations about scope. Serving the client well sometimes means explaining that a request changes what was originally agreed and helpingdeterminethe right path forward.
This is an execution-focused PM role within an established operating model. There will be opportunities to improve how we work, but the primary responsibility isdeliveringsuccessful client engagements.
