Video Editor Wanted — NextGen Verdict (Business Content Channel)
About the Project
NextGen Verdict is a short-form Hinglish business analysis channel built around a "2036 Business Judge" persona — we look at real companies and founders through a future-looking, verdict-style lens (Hook → Today → Hidden Truth → Opportunity → Fatal Flaw → 2036 Lesson → Human Impact → Verdict). Content ships across YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, LinkedIn, and Facebook. We're looking for a skilled video editor to become a consistent part of our production pipeline.
What We Need
Fast-paced, professional, documentary-style editing — think Netflix true-crime/business-doc pacing meets short-form retention hooks. Not vlog-style casual cuts. The edit needs to feel credible, cinematic, and tightly paced enough to hold attention on a 60–90 second Hinglish script while still landing hard beats (fatal flaw reveal, verdict stamp, confidence % score).
Scope of Work
Edit 60–90 second vertical videos from raw voiceover + script + stock/broll/AI-generated visuals
Sync pacing tightly to a beat-based script structure (hook, escalation, reveal, verdict)
Add on-screen text, lower-thirds, and signature graphic elements (confidence % score, verdict stamps like "High Risk Bet" / "Empire on Trial")
Source or integrate B-roll, news clips, stock footage, and motion graphics
Sound design: music beds, SFX hits on key reveals, clean audio mixing
Color grading for a consistent, cinematic "documentary judge" look
Deliver platform-specific cuts/captions (YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, LinkedIn, Facebook)
Work in an iterative review process — segment-by-segment feedback and revisions before final approval
Style References
Fast, punchy documentary/true-crime pacing (not slow vlog cuts)
Bold but clean text overlays — legible on mobile, on-brand with a "verdict/courtroom" visual identity
Split-frame "destruction vs. future" thumbnail style for cover frames
Requirements
Proven experience editing short-form vertical content (Reels/Shorts) at a professional/documentary standard
Strong sense of pacing and rhythm — able to cut for retention without sacrificing narrative clarity
Comfortable working with Hinglish scripts/voiceovers
Proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut Pro (please specify your toolkit)
Reliable turnaround time and ability to work in a review-and-revise workflow
Bonus: experience with motion graphics / animated text elements, business or news content background
What to Send
Portfolio or reel showcasing fast-paced, documentary-style short-form edits (Hinglish content is a strong plus)
Your typical turnaround time per video
Your rate (per video or per month, whichever applies)
Working Style
This is an ongoing role, not a one-off gig — we're building a consistent content pipeline and want an editor who can grow with the channel's format and standards over time.
